Interesting question. No offense but it's probably just you. The majority of all types of people from what I've seen are generally into dogs more than cats.
Even when you go to pet stores, most products like toys and snacks are for dogs. I think it's probably a cultural thing, since we have phrases like, "dogs are a mans best friend." But that phrase was made by a particlular group of people, it doesn't speak for all people, or all men, or all straight men.
With that said, your question reminds me about how it seems a lot of people think if a guy likes cats, means they're gay or in the closet or not very manly. Guys today can be considered gay or bisexual for doing just about anything other than watching football and burping to beer. Many people have a narrow view on what it means to be a 100% straight guy I think.

But I'm straight and have NO love for domestic cats.
Your indoor cat OK by me.
A cat on the prowl up here will get trapped, taken to the mountains and popped.
A feral domestic cat is not a pet and they kill my wildlife, disrupting the food chain.
I think your right, either gay or just whoooshes (girlly men) :)
They have no way to establish values, and just follow the crowd.
If you never seen a (d.cat) kill a Pea-chick or a Quail, when you know they did it just to kill. I kill. Keep you cats indoors.

Their **** stinks beyond imagination and can kill human babies if used in the garden.
They destroy your furniture

I am straight, and I think cats are cool. A lot of straight guys are really hung up on what other people think of them , tho. A freind of mine is really weird about what clothes he wears and how his hair should be , cause he's so afraid someone might think he is gay. It really kind of funny! so some guys might think other people might find it gay if they knew they liked cats. It's weird, I know. You'd think it would be o.k. for a striaght guy to like *******! People are just weird. Any way , as I said I like cats, and all animals really, and I dont really care what other people may make of that, they really mean nothing to me. I like what I like.

i think it's totally true. i love cats, i've always had one, plus a dog, since i've been a little kid, and i'm straight. i have only met one straight male (from childhood) that likes cats. every single one of my friends absolutely hates cats. even most gals i know hate them.
but, who cares. i live for me. and my HP. and 'Nothing Else Matters'

I know a lot of gay guys that own cats. But then a lot of them livin in urban settings, like apartments and condos that don't allow dogs. Me, I like dogs. I have two.

I don't hate cats, but I am a dog guy. Cats shed way too much for me...hair everywhere...ug. Nice animals, but they just loose too much hair.

nah...don't think so. I know lots of straight guys (like my brother) that love cats. I think some people think dogs are "macho" and cats aren't. don't know why that is....
