Renewing Computer Security?

Question

Is it worth renewing my McAfee Security suite every year or is what I have now enough? Or are dangers to your computer changing so quickly that it is wise to keep renewing so you can get the latest versions and updates, or is this just a way to keep you renewing?

As a data security analyst, this is a question that I've answered for Fortune 500 clients. I'll tell you the same thing I'd tell them... renew your licenses for AV, Firewall, Spysweeping, etc. otherwise you're going to spend twice to three times the money on trying to eradicate problems.
