No. If it's a chorus concert then isn't singing the point? It would be nice to see variety for the crowd's sake.

Besides, twerps that make fun of people for singing opera would more likely make fun of EVERYONE in a chorus concert.

I can't tell from your question, but I hope you're not the one doing the ridiculing! If you are, shame on you!...I'd like to see you do it!

If it was you who was doing the singing...Way to go! I'd never have been good enough or brave enough to do what you do! Do your own thing and never worry about what other people think! You will always be held in great regard and respect if you are always true to yourself and do what's right and good in the world!

In 8th grade? Probably. But don't let that stop you!!!!!!! At that age, you're likely to get made fun of no matter what you do so do what makes you happy. If you have a talent like that, don't hide it. They're just jealous because they can't do that!
