There were so many of us all doing the same job. Many women and men. Many minorities and some that were not. All levels of education and tons of education. Some people with years of experience. A "super special" white man came in with less experience only 2 years the same education as many people, and he got more money and other people did not even get interviewed for a job. He also got experience credit for student time which no one else ever got. His previous experience was also irrelevent to the current job. He was being courted for the job. When he arived at work he did not do his work, but read the paper and kept his feet on the desk and did not keep quality control on his area. Yet he stayed. He said he had nothing to do while his area degraded. He got more money with less qualifiqation and less work ethic. He got scared when the boss left.

Legal implications? This is a state instution? They usually do job pay on a formula. I do not work there anymore.

People in the office were freaking out and asking why they were courting this guy.

Oh they have inspections and I am sure he will get caught on one of those. He has no clue on what he is doing and he does not care. He will cause a huge problem. He is not just beating me out. I have less school than him so I will autiomatically make 8K less per year than him. There are other people who have much more experience than him that make less that is the problem. If he has 2 years of irrelevant experience and someone else has 15 years of relevant experence he should not be making more especially if he is lazy.

He will get toasted in one of the inspections or by one of the coworkers. They hate seeing him leaving his feet on the desk meanwhile they use expired product in an emergency situation that he should have pulled because it is his job. He will get fired for leaving expired product on the shelves. It is his job and someone will catch him on that eventually. When patients get expired drugs in emergencies it is really bad.

I am sure the nurse wrote him up for that she was really freaked out when she gave a patient expired drug. I am just glad I do not work there anymore. That guy is lazy and sloppy.

Somehow since he just kept asking for more money the boss thought he was really great.

There is obviously a connection between the former boss and this guy. Just make sure the new boss knows the guy is a slacker.

Actually it's very simple. It may NOT be discrimination of any kind. If this had happened in several lines of work for the same institution (the state in this case) then it could indeed be discrimination. However, if this is the only instance, it is probably the way that he presented himself through his application and resume. I would imagine that his resume was far superior to yours.

In this case, it's probably not racial discrimination. The applicant probably had connections within the company that promised him that job.
