There is a program called ECITY. Its an enterpeuer program for students who want to own there own business. They teach you how to make a business plan and all the successful perks in owning a business. It is a three week program. Once you completed your plan you compete with other students. You could either win first, second, or third place. You receive a check to help you with your business plans. That's if you win first, second, or third place. They help you with everything, so it so be real easy. I took the program and i won first place and received $550 for my business plan for my business called "7th Heaven" (a bakery). The program teaches people to be responsible no matter how old they are. Even though she is 11, this program will help her alot. They will keep in touch with her to makr sure she follows her dream of owning that business.

No matter how brilliant or responsible your daughter is, starting her own business at age 11 is absurd. Wait until she gets older. At LEAST 16. For now, maybe she could babysit or bead jewelry to sell at craft shows.

She may be very smart BUT SHE'S OLNY 11 YEARS OLD. Let her grow up and grow older a little bit more before she goes into business for herself.

I think she's a bit too young to even have that kind of commitment - what if she changes her mind after a few months even?
