Take 1 egg white and mix it with powdered milk, spread it on your face and be careful not to spread it on any of your hair, the eyebrows, etc. Allow to dry and remove after 10 minutes.

Milk of Magnesia. Use cotton balls to apply it, leave it on for a few minutes and rinse off. My skin gets really irritated, and this helps.
Also, I give thumbs up for honey and oatmeal. The honey is antibacterial and hygroscopic, so it cleans your skin without drying it out. The oat meal is calming to irritated skin, exfoliates without irrtating.
Or yogurt. The lactic acid in the yogurt is kind of like a very very mild peel -- and it won't make you more sensitive to sun like a fruit-based "alpha hydroxy" treatment would.

Break an egg, seperate the yolk and the egg white, apply the egg white on your face, wait for 20 mins to dry, oh yes!, your skin is pulling but you feel nice and fresh after rinsing. Try it. Can cook the yolk and make a sandwich.
