Why does the US support Israel in a blind way?

Because of oil. Thirstyness of oil. Israel's mission is making middle east unsafe. Then U.S. as world safe agency would got a good reason for being here and sucking our oil off. And so I'm so glad to see awake people like you.

Its not blindness. The leaders of the US know darned well whats up with Israel. Make no mistake, the only people who are "blind" are the manipulated mases who believe that we are merely supporting what is right and just. Dont be fooled. Consider that America gives about $3 Billion in combined military and civilian aid to Israel:
1) $3B is tiny compared with America $2 TRILLION budget
2) The same people who complain about aid to Israel don't mind that we give $3B each year to Egypt
3) $3B is tiny compared with $80 billion/yr. spent in Iraq
4) $3B is tiny compared with $30 billion/yr. spent on farm subsidies

Christians have a Biblical connection with Israel

America and Israel have shared strategic interests:
1) Israel has missiles capable of reaching as far as the former Soviet Union
2) Israel has cooperated with the U.S. with R&D for new jet fighters and anti-missile defense systems
3) Israel's intelligence service has assisted the U.S. in intelligence gathering and covert operations.
4) Israel's frequent wars have provided battlefield testing for American arms, often against Soviet weapons.
5) Israel has kept Syria, for many years an ally of the Soviet Union, in check.

Compelling moral imperatives to support Israel are:
1) Israel is the only true democracy in the region. Arabs are represented in Israel's Parliament.
2) Fair play: Jews are not terrorists (according to American standards) while ALL terrorists are Muslims
3) Jews have never declared war on American values while some Muslims have
4) What is the alternative to Israel, terrorist organizations like Hezbollah/Hamas?
5) Palestinians and other Muslims supported Saddam Hussein and celebrate terrorist triumphs over the west.

if Israel falls the we have no influence in the middle east , if you think it's scary now just watch how scary it gets if it does happen.

Because Israel is one of the very few Mid Eastern countries to be living in the 21st century. So many countries there are still living back several hundred years ago, and refuse to modernize. They want to participate in the world economy and political arena but refuse to advance as a society and civilation. Except for Israel.
