it ain't oil in a transmission it is transmission fluild
that probably why it didn't have oil ...lol

it could be a bad seal and it leaks very slowly. over a period of months or years it finally lost enough to show low level. if this is the problem, there should be a oil spot visible at the regular parking place.

check your radiator because it might be in there and im being honest, the trans cooler could of busted and now you have trans fluid in the engine or it got real hot and it has a breather built in and it could of boiled it out but not all of it and anyways you couldnt of lost it all maybe a couple of quarts but please pop your radiator cap off or look in your overflow jug
