my friend just said that the players that make it to the hall of fame get paid by the hall of fame! is this true?

No, they do not get paid infact, They only get inducted to the hall of fame because of what they have done in the sport in which they had played for. Usually people who get inducted into the hall of fame are already rich so no need to pay them again. Induction is just a great pride that is givin to someone who has been the best or one of the best in the type of sport they played.

An Induction also shows the love people have into sports.
