can taking medicine cold that is throw off your birth control pill. i was also throwing up alot too but still took the pill. i did not tell my pediatrian i was on the pill. i had sex 13, 14, and 16 i of july when i was better and my period was due last week of july and i still dont have it. should i make an appointment with an adult doctor i am 18? or am i just pariniod? i am little worried about it?

Teh birth control pill isn't completely reliable when you are taking some antibiotics. Always tell your doctor every medication that you are taking -- its very important because of the way they interact with each other.

Take a pregnancy test to make sure you are not pregnant.

Yes some medicine can counteract with other medicines that's why it's always important to talk to your doctor if you are on anything before taking something else.

Also, when you take something while you're throwing up you can throw up what you just took.

Did you ever stop taking the pill and/or start taking the placebo?

Your cold could mess up your cycle but if you've been on birth control for a while then it would be less likely to affect it. Stress can mess it up too or being paranoid that you're pregnant.

Get an at home pregnancy test and find out or go ahead and call your doctor. You can also look up a local planned parenthood (neutral) or a pregnancy hotline (often religion based) and they provide the tests.

Take a pregnancy test and calm down. Freaking out isn't going to make you more or less pregnant. If you think you should see the doctor then schedule an appointment.
