i would say my personel choice would be morrissey for all he has done for the indie scean and what we have today in bands like the killers richard ashcroft oasis and so on. i must also add paul weller and female would be annie lennox. and jj. french

In terms of influential artists Morrissey is good, but also David Bowie has helped out many new artists.
