HAND WASH with a strong detergent, letting it soak well. Putting it in the washing machine is dangerous-as a firefighter I have been on several calls where people caught their houses on fire washing greasy or gasoline-stained clothes. Kerosene is similar to gasoline and will make a vapor when it separates from the clothes. In a washing machine, the lid is down, so the flammable vapor is ready fuel for when the unsealed electric motor kicks in. If you hand wash, do it outside as well. Then you can toss it in the machine.
