do you usually find yourself right more often than not, causing you to wonder if you're more observant than the average bear? or do you frequently find that your best judgements are wrong, making you wonder if you shouldn't have noticed more closely what was happening? to what do you attribute this ability (or lack thereof)?

I do find myself right more often than not, and am highly observant. I attribute this ability to training in early childhood - the schools I attended were very tough, and we were expected to put a great deal of effort into everything we did, to think things through thoroughly, and to take the initative to go out and find any information that was lacking. After a number of years, it got to be second nature, so I find that often if a question is raised in conversation, I have already thought it through and formulated a response.

I am right, I am always right, especially when I am wrong.

pending a definite definition of reality, then I'll just go with what I know and make decisions upon that. Sure relity may change retrospectively and make that decision wrong (I learn better what reality was at the time). Or even I find that reality had temporarily changed when I made a decision (I forgot something), but at the time the decision is right (unless I am deliberately lying).

thats all well and good in a philosophy section, but not here in psychology

statistics: if more right than wrong means better than average, implies that average (people) are right less than half the time

might be better said "right more often than others"
in which case, yup, I do, but then I am more observant than "the average bear". I am the quiet, broody type that just watches and listens, also when walking down a street, I look up and often see things other people miss, I see and hear more.
I am also stronger than average, but uglier too. Hey, you cant have it all, well I cant. S'ok by me

I think rational. The effect of rational thinking is to bestow clear logic with altruistic concerns. I always go with my gut feeling, and 80% of the time they have done me good. My immediate reaction to impressions I deal in a scientific, open-minded way, and at the same time to try to understand them from the human point of view.
I have razor-sharp observation that helps me uncover flaws that I am poke fun at. Nevertheless, my sense of sharp observation can lead to great disappointment. I have already uncover a blanket that was there for years and years. And now that the blanket of truth is uncovered I fear disappointment or losing a battle of any sort. But all facts of life as we know it. I have noticed that I have been analyizing everything. To where I would get upset at the world in general. Not like it is its fault. LOL But you realize that life has more meaning than just you life and die. lol

I usually don't draw conclusions without careful investigation of all aspects of the situation. Snap judgments are usually wrong because I didn't take the time to gather enough evidence.

When I was a kid, I was usually able to get away with just about anything I did because I analyzed the situation thoroughly before I did it.

I feel in my heart that my conclusion that I come to on what ever it is - is correct. I don't jump to conclusions - I weight out the good from the bad and the right from the wrong and come up with my conclusion and I'm normally right. But that's just me.

Re-analyses at a conciousness point at any given moment. Re-assesment like editing is wholesome trait for anyone worried about jumping into conclusions.

Whatever conclusions we make as human beings are limited by our experience and outlook. I try to draw conclusions based on my experience and knowledge and hope they are as close to the truth as possible.

Usually. I know my prejudices though and instead of "conclusions" I come to rebuttable presumptions about things.
I attribute it to experience and learning from mistakes.
