NO! When you are lacking morality it doesn't matter how intelligent you are. Few will step in and say you are a sleeze bag and should not be doing that. However, when you have high morals, but might be of lesser intelligence, you can always surround yourself with intelligent staff for advice and council. That is what an effective leader does. Relies upon his staff for the grunt work.

i wouldnt want either. If your country has either, you are in for a tough period of time. If he has neither, even worse. A more debateable question would be would you want a leader that has decent morals and highly intelligent, or decent intelligence and high morals.

I think history will prove the president we now have has both intelligence and morals. I believe he has been, and will continue to protect the citizens of this country ,until his last day of office, with every resource he has available to him in spite of the liberal media and treasonous propaganda of the far left. To answer your question though, morals are the top of the list..but intelligence does run a close second.

Are you talking about Clinton? I place the blame strictly on him for initiating the oral sex phenomenon amongst teens over the past several years. This country is already in moral decay; we need a leader that can have strong morals (unlike Clinton) and not be an idiot (unlike Bush).

no, not at all!

the reason i don't is because that's pretty much what we have in new jersey... most of out elected people in new jersey are rather smart, but no morals... take a look at new jersey politics...

every thing in new jersey that the politicians do, has to have some kind of way to benifit them, there is no 'for the people' in new jersey for them, it's for them selves... they will do what ever they need to to get into office, and then stay in office, the rest of what they do is for them selves... the problem with that here in nj, is that the people keep voting in the same people, and then wonder why it's not getting any better...

alwell...

Sounds like Dick Cheney. No. I wouldn't want that person as leader.

I'd like a leader with both intelligence and morals.

No. Morals can put a person further in life and respect than intelligence of any kind.

yeah sure. cause if they were highly intelligent, they'd know to respect the morals of the public even if they themselves don't have any otherwise, there'd be a rebellion
