To me, I was stunned to find out about it today, but his death will be felt upon the characters in the DC Universe. SERIOUS REPLYS ONLY TO THIS QUESTION. I will not take answers that are going to be half-a** or stupid among those who just wants to play dumb with me.

It, in a word, sucks. Why are the DC editors and writers so insistent at killing off/ruining the JLI characters? They say that if they really hated them, they wouldn't use them. But if they really do hate them, they'll kill them and show their corpses on-panel, so no one can ever use them again, which is exactly what's happening.

Even if it's not a deliberate erasure of the fun and goofy side of DC, it's still a major misstep. Readers are tired of grim and gritty. We want to have fun for once. That means leaving fun characters, like Ted Kord, Booster, Ralph and Sue Dibny, Bart Allen, and Superboy, alive and happy, not dead, insane, or suddenly emo.

Have decided not to prusue reading '52' after last week. Sorry to see boosterGold be taken out! I enjoyed his series back in the 80's and thought he brought a lighter side to the constant doom and gloom of the DC Universe...can't understand why death is sooo popular among the DC staff---Heroes killed, atomic bombs going off, and these stupid retro continuities-makes me glad i started out as a marvelite to begin with. I am seriously thinking of dropping all DC titles except for ACTION, DETECTIVE, BATMAN, and JSA-because i have a very very long run on each of these! NOTE: can you believe how BAD the new Warlord comic is!!! YIKES!

Booster Gold was one of the worst ideas EVER. No one in my family will even play him in Heroclix.

However, he did stick up for Blue Beetle in the Countdown to Infinite Crisis, so I was content to see him go back where he came from.

I do see the logic in DC's moves. They did alot of dumb stuff from the 1980s*...I think it's wise to prune back the bad stuff so the good stuff can fluorish.

Infinity Inc, Outsiders, L.E.G.I.O.N, I could go on
