You need to stay home with her after this. She should be more important than whatever else you want to do. Take care of your daughter

That is all dependant on how old the child is and what jabs shes going in for. If its the MMR then she is going to be really upset and sore for 24 hours. She will definitely need you. If its the 2/3/4 month jabs then its not so bad. Its just 2 injections. It'll sting and she may get a temperature but the doctor/nurse will give you infadrops to ease it. If you don't like injections yourself then I suggest getting someone else to take her. (Some people fine it too difficult letting their children get stuck with needles) My daughter was poorly with 2 month jabs but the rest were a breeze. My wife was with her for all of them and would never have let anyone else be there. Some kids have reactions but its pretty rare. Children tend to forget quick so forgive yourself if you can't be there

Well, I would recommend you stay home with her as she might be feeling bad. Still, it also depends on what the jabs are. My baby recently had his MMR. He was fine to start with but was a bit groggy after about a week. I travelled with him a couple of days after he had them. But I think most other jabs have more immediate effects. And also, if she has had jabs before and had a reaction to them, you should stay home with her definitley. Babies under about 15 months usually forget about injections after a couple of minutes but that also depends on the baby.

I don't think the answers have been fair so far, but what you don't say is who she would be left with after her jabs?

If it's a family member that she knows, then what's the problem?

Don't forget, there are plenty of people out there who HAVE to go back to work when there kids are 6 weeks old, so don't feel bad if you can't be there all the time. It's not humanly possible.

personally if u knew she was getting her jabs then u should not have made other plans, you dont say how old she is tho if its her first jabs id advise staying home as she may or may not get upset about it later in the day and require some calpol and her mummys cuddles, they seem to work the best

I'd stay at home, each child reacts differently. My baby slept for the rest of the day after his first, second he just wanted to be cuddled all day and the third, not a problem, happy as a sand boy. But have the calpol ready just in case!!

stay at home,,,, definately!

my little girl has just had her jabs (tues) and she is still feeling poorley from them now!

they can become very poorly for a few days after and need you to be there, mainly just a cuddle and some calpol will do, but as parents we have a responsibility for our little ones, i had to miss all of the world cup as mine was in a special care baby unit at the time due to being 12 weeks prem,
but they are worth it!!

but seriously your little girl we need your cuddles and rasurance, unless shes one of the lucky ones that it dont affect! but is it a chance worth taking??

If it was me I'd stay. They can get a bit grouchy and have a temperature after jabs, its nothing serious but I think she'd be happier at home dosed on Calpol.

I feel you should stay at home with your daughter. She is bound to be upset by the experience. I'm sure you would be worried about her should you go and the worry would spoil your trip anyway.

You should really take her kids want their mums and usually cry at injections. Also may feel ill, rumpy and have a temperature for few days after and need calpol/paracetomol
