People we need to wake up" terrorism isn't going away by ignoring it". I thought of my children and grand children's life's ahead. The horror and the victims families its more then anyone should ever deal with. Heart was warm by compassion and by the hero's Americans still contains!

I too was in shock I think maybe I was a little confused as well. That was a very scary morning. Even though I live in Illinois it was all over the news all I could do was cry.... it was like I was feeling the pain for all those people and their families. That is an experience I do not want to experience again. That was just plain horrible.

I too was in Manhattan. I was at work and we just got out of a meeting when someone yelled out "look at this". We were all huddled around the tv and we saw the second plane hit the tower. I was in total shock. My boss came in and said something like "allright everyone, we have a job to do". I said something pretty nasty and he fired me on the spot. I was glad to get out of there and tried to head downtown, but it was impossible. The next day he offered me my job back. It was definitely the worse day of my life.

Ok....i work in manhattan and saw the whole thing unfold with my own eyes....i was about 50 blocks uptown....something i can never truly forget for the rest of my life. The world as we know it changed that day....terrorism would never be looked at the same way we once did.....but what i will tell you is this:....i've lived in nyc my whole life, and i've never been prouder to be a new yorker, how we persevered that day, etc. New yorkers are tough and can get thru anything....and we're still here baby

I was kind of shocked to imagine that what I watched on TV all the time was on the ground now. I was still living in Guatemala back then.
