Santa Fe ski runs usually open around Dec 1. Many years, there is a good snowfall during the first week of December, which makes for good ski conditions. As often though, there may be no snow. However, nearby Taos is almost always a great place to ski in December. Hope this helps!

It really depends upon the snowfall. In certain, el Nino, years the Santa Fe Ski area gets tons of snow. Then, in other years, like this last ski season, they don't get very much at all. I would check a Farmers Almanac to see what they predict for snow during the November and December that you are specifically looking at. I thought that the Almanacs were pretty accurate when I lived in Santa Fe. *think snow*
