Its obvious no one really knows futbol around here. There hasnt been a constant best team around since the World Cup started. between 1930-1956 Uruguay was the best team despite some Italian success due to the fascist regime at the time. Then from 1958-1970, Brazil was the best team when Pele was around. Netherlands and their "Total-Futbol" were the best team in the 1970s despite losing the final to the host nations of 1974 and 1978, West Germany and Argentina respectively.Then in the 1980s, Argentina's Diego Maradona and a talented West Germany dominated till 1994 after the end of "classic" futbol. From then, it has been Brazil until recently. The FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 saw an unispired Brazil with no more real passion for futbol. We are seeing a shift in power in futbol.

FC Barcelona - the players play exceptionally well together - definitely one of the best teams in the world.
I would also say that Real Madrid is close, buuut... no, Beckham ruined it for me in 2003 (right? 2003?... i think that's when they bought him, 'cause I was in madrid at the time, and i was ready to start a fist fight with everyone wearing beckham shirts in the city.... but not really) haha.. they do have Sergio Ramos though.
basically, i think that La Liga has the best teams overall, and the best players, who even though are great, don't play individually, but as a team.

Well, since Italia has the World Cup the answer is pretty obvious. 2nd best goes to Brazil though.
On a side note, it bothers me when people name American Football teams in questions like these because they can't be arsed to look at what category it's in and recognize that we're talking about REAL football.

they also won 64 matches of the 92 they played in the worldcup and the only lost 14

and FC Barcelona is the best when it comes to clubs, Atl. Madrid 2nd. and Juventus 3rd.
