Try doing a search for local shops - most have websites and you can view some work there. It's a good place to start. Also, if you live in the area, whenever you see someone who has a piece that you like, don't be afraid to ask them who did it for them. If they are happy with their artist they will be glad to give them a reference, and if they aren't you'll know exactly what they did "wrong". Good Luck!
