Why does the government make the poor people and the middle class pay all the taxes while rich people don't have to? Is the government trying to keep us in poverty?

What the hell are you talking about?????? I've paid $580K in three years and over $3M in business taxes.

If you want to get out of poverty do what I did, make a sacrific. I work two jobs and saved my money (no furniture, cable, eletronics I lived in a crapy area of town and drove a car I paid $700 for five years). Then I risked it all to start my own business.

The point people are makeing is that the rich don't have the right to be rich and should pay even more taxes, even though we have a graduated tax system that forces the rich to pay a higher percent of taxes already.

The top 10 % of people pay for 50% of federal taxes. In the USA, poverty only becomes real due to bad choices by an individual or people close to that individual. The government goes over and beyond the call to give people the recources to live above poverty.

If you want out of poverty work hard do with less and save the difference. The top 10% of earners pay more then 50% of all taxes paid The top 50% of earners pay 98% of all taxes paid. If you are in poverty than you pay 0% of taxes and will usually get an earned income credit which will result in you getting money back that you neither paid in or earned. Now quit whining and get out there and make something of yourself so you can start paying taxes.

It seems like that sometimes but everyone is taxed. Rich or poor the government gets some of your money. I expect it is easier to pay when you already have a lot in the bank and are not depending on every bit that you earn to keep your head above water.

Whats up people, we gotta big problem, and the forecast shows that its gonna be much bigger, and much more ****** up if we(especially the vast number of people on yahoo who are at least 18) don't do anything in about 5 seconds. It is an election year and on November, I for one will cast my vote, as should every one else who reads this baby.
This election will not be for presidents, but for congressmen. This happens only every 6 years, so don't pretend this isn't a big deal, it's a very big deal. Why? You ask. We can all agree that the world is changing, and it is changing from many different perspectives(Economically, politicaly, and Environmentaly).
Our government, is increasingly being run by big business, and we the people are being hung out to dry. At this very moment while I write this blog, government and business are trying to revamp the internet, so the you will have to pay for every email you send and recieve. Wait, it gets better they are trying to regulate the internet so that if you want high speed internet your gonna have to pay a shitload more, if it goes thorough, most of us will probably have to settel for slow *** internet.
Congress recently passed a bill to treat enviromental activists as felons, any one cought environmentaly protesting against a big company will be arrested and prosecuted as a felon...yeah I know it's ****** up, the people are losing their unalienable rights to make way for corprate america. Tom Delay was the tip of the iceberg, there is still a considerable amount of corrupt politicians in washington, republicans and democrats alike.
Environmentaly speaking we are so screwed I don't even wanna get into it, but i will just to enlighten you. I would like to start by saying that Steven Hawking, (the extremely geniuse Quantum Physicis equivalent to the Einstien of today), calculates that some time in the near futre greenland will melt, if we don't do something soon to stabalize the level of green houses in the atmosphere. It is estimated that over a million people living on coastlies world wide will die. Steven Hawking said he was affraid...when steven hawking is scared, i'm scared. But wait, it gets better. I recently did a research paper on world wide deforestation, and came to conclude the rainforests are being destroyed faster that we can keep track. This is where you put 2 and 2 together. Plants, especially big rainforests are what takes greenhouse gasses out of the air and puts oxygen back into the atmosphere, so basically we are dumping millions of tons of greenhouse gasses(such as CO2) into the atmosphere, and were getting rid of the only thing that takes these gasses out of the atmosphere.
Now, don't get me wrong I'm not some kind of environmental tree hugger. I only pointed out our environmental problems to make a point. If we don't take care of our political problems this november by electing honest congressional leaders, We will be left with an even more corrupt government, and an even bigger environmental problem. In simplest terms, it'll be a huge **** sandwich and we're alll gonna have to take a bite.

November is one of the last few (if not the last) chances we have. We all must vote this november. I've heard alot that if you don't have the money, you cant change anything in government, but thats no true if we the people of this country (espicially the youth) can stand together then government will never deny us. So get out there, be a part of the movement there tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell anyone who will hear you out, the more people we infrom, the better our chances for success and for a better future. We are the youth of this nation, and we are mostly certainly the future, and the future is dawning.

We are not rich but we are well-off. We pay more in taxes than most people make and I am sick of it. We worked VERY hard to get what we have and all the lazy jack-offs think because we worked hard we should give MORE to the government...NO.
Why, if he has worked for it, should 50% of my husband's bonus have to go for taxes?

If his secretary had to pay 33%, then his secretary makes extra advantageous than maximum secretaries do. yet if you consider that Buffet's earnings is rather lots investment earnings, it relatively is no longer subject to social protection and medicare tax so he does not pay the 7.sixty 5% for those that the secretary will pay on her earnings. And capital beneficial components earnings tax is a maximum of 15%.
