There will never be a world without completely violence, we just need to find a way of controlling the aggression that leads to violence.
Violence is around us all the time in various forms, people driving aggressively or not taking the time to come to passive ways of solving arguments. Governements not talking and resorting to conflict.
Most of the worlds problems can probably be resolved through democratic considered dialogue. It's just men fueled by testosterone often aren't big enough to compromise and come to rational solutions which suit both parties.

All those answers are from people that cause the violence because they don't know how to respond correctly. The best thing to do is u try to not practice violence urself so that at least in ur family the violence will cease. A speck of sand will cease the violence by a little bit in this world.

The solution could be in the question. By non violent means. Change the status of criminals to that of diseased people and treat them accordingly. If we got a couple of generation through without criminalizing their abhorrent behavior then I think it could help mold a pacified world population. It does seem like a mental illness or disorder when ever I've read about these violent outbursts. Throwing violent people into a violent environment never made much sense to me. Drug them into passive states and adjust their personalities, heck they're already there anyway. The down side is that there would have to be a central government to make this universal. Folks don't cotton up to that very well!

If the government knew how to create a world without violence don't you think they'd be on it by now.
I hate to say it - but everyone's different and I think there's more criminal type behaviors out there than there are good one's. Some people crave violence - they think it makes them look cool - especially these stupid gangs. They think their some kind of God's when they go to prison for a couple years. Their worse than dog-****.

I doubt that it is possible, nor would we want it to be that way! Just think, although we despise evil and violence, if it didn't exist there would be nothing to judge the good from. Without opposition in all things we don't become stronger, nor do we grow. Unfortunately, this means violence, immorality, and various other maladaptive behaviors really are a "necessary" evil. Just think of the muscle, if it is never flexed or worked, it doesn't grow..Many of the marvelous inventions we now enjoy were created in search of war technology....when we fight to vanquish evil, in turn we become stronger for the effort!!!

No. Violence comes in many forms not just physical. You cannot create a world without any violence. But what is your meaning of creation?

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religon too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
Imagine no possesions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
In a brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say i'm a dreamer
But i'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

I say no. From the dawn of man, violence has been a defining characteristic of those crafty primates. I hope I'm wrong and man will learn to totally excise all violence from the planet. It may happen in a couple centuries, but, at age 28, I don't see it happening during my duration.

Violence always exists within nature.
With regards to humans, though, I think the only approach is related to economics. We need a system of trade and livlihood whereby the difference between rich and poor is negligible. Perhaps the only way to do this is for a proportionally representative state to take control of business, and that will cause a great deal of strife in itself to pull off successfully.

IT may sound very cynical but some good Bioengineering/Gene manipulation could help to mellow out the human's aggression potential.
Perhaps after the next real big war which may destroy the larger number of us this will be done, enforced by law.
(btw- there is a very entertaining/funny Science Fiction series "the Man-Kzin wars" which play with that idea).
