My boyfriend loves this film.

I find it completely inaccurate historically (Arthur and his peeps are spouting all this political "freedom" stuff which does not belong in the Roman Era - its anachronistic) and the setting makes no sense - for one I always beleived the Saxons entered the country from South England (nearest to Saxony) not Scotland. Plus - snowy mountains one minute and green fields the next? Even the far north of England/Scotland border does not have such extreme climate!

But aside from that I do kind of like it. Being Welsh its great to see a Celtic/British legend brought to life like this. I also love Clive Owen and of course our lovely Welsh Boy Ioan Gruffudd (100 times lovelier than "Glyn from BB!" More talented too!)

My boyfriend and I are going to name our little boy Arthur as he was so inspired by the whole "Ancient British Leader - once and future King" legend.

Anyone else like (or hate this film??)

I know you have gone to a lot of trouble to write that question and its follow up, but as much as I wanted to see the movie (I am an Arthurian fan) I did not get a chance. Sorry. I feel all guilty now.

The film also feature trebuguet and crossbows, its utter garbage and did a steaming "Mel Gibson" all over Brittish history/folklore. Dont beleive a word of it, read books instead and if you havn't seen this film avoid it like a hooker with genital warts

Its just another film to me, I personally love it, maybe something to do with the fact that I find CLive Owen drop dead gorgeous.

I liked the movie even with all it's flaws, and there were many.

My favorite King Arthur movie of all time has to be Excalibur.
