Scotland. the best time is mid fall when the trees are changing the air is crisp. I'm applying to college there and when i visited there last year around Oct it was perfect. Your son is at the age where he still wants to learn and with all its history and castles, this a a great plus. it is even better if you have and ancestors who came from England, Ireland, or Scotland because you do do research and go to a place where your family lived.

Australia is beautiful, i would also recommend taking about a week or two to tour Europe. Spain, Germany, Italy, France, among other European countries are very rich in history, culture and art. I have never been there but I have seen the pictures and heard the stories and I will definately go if i ever get the chance. I highly recommend Europe though. Here in America 100 years seems like a lot but if you go to Europe it is literally a blink of an eye, they have some building that are thousands of years old, definately an educational experience. :)

KENYA!!!!!!!!!
It is such a beautiful country, and i have just finished a project about it in my geography class.
It has lots of tourist attractions, like the great rift valley, coral reefs, safari wildlife, and the east coast beaches.
There are many different tribes and religions within Kenya, one of which is the Maasai tribe. They are a Nomadic and Pastoral tribe, who travel around Kenya with their cattle, who are considered holy and sacred.
You can go on a wildlife safari, however, their are many consequences on going on one of these.
The minibuses and tourists increase the rate of soil erosion and the animals are becoming more and more tame due to the high amount of contact with humans. Don't let this put you off though! Kenya is approx. 25C+ throughout the whole year so it's advised that you wear light clothes, however, pack some thicker items, as it can become slightly colder in the early mornings and the evenings.
Please visit Kenya, as the tourism industry is helping Kenya get itself out of poverty and become an M.E.D.C (More Economically Developed Country)
Peace out

South Africa, my home country! No other country offers such diverse cultures and beautiful scenery. The best time to visit is in summer (December to February). I would suggest flying to Cape Town, and then following the coastal road to Mossel Bay, then Port Elizabeth and finally Durban. It will be an unforgettable experience for you and your son.

Japan is beautiful and clean. You can definitely experience culture differences. Japanese are usually very friendly and polite. The costs for food and shopping will be high though, because most of them takes time to be beautifully designed. Spring is when the cherry blossoms are everywhere and you get to climb and visit Fuji Mountain.

First of all, I do not think that the United States of America is that great at all. If you live here, you should move. Most of the people here are EXTREMELY RUDE, and this is why I'm glad that the September 11th terrorist attacks happened. Moving on, Tokyo, Japan is the best place on Earth. Period. It is beautiful, peaceful, full of exciting, cool things, filled with culture, etc. It is the perfect place. :)

Chelsea v Inter crammed an 81000 skill stadium throughout a pre-season friendly, don't be so specific pertaining to to the lack of attractiveness of the interest in the u . s .. If the u . s . gained the WC, i'd be taken aback out of my wits. additionally, loads of my associates would be set to lose bets! (make that all and sundry my associates). I mean, they have stable gamers like Howard and Dempsey, yet with the aid of no skill stable adequate to win the international Cup! They taken aback Spain (and almost Brazil) in the Confederations Cup yet enable's no longer get earlier than ourselves here. The quarterfinals would be a brilliant fulfillment for them.

Come and visit the UK!
Bring wet weather gear though, the weather is notoriously unstable.
You can show him his heritage. We're his ancestors after all!
Best time to come - I think June - he'll be on holiday from school, but our kids don't have holiday until end of July.
The lovely beaches will be quieter.
I'd offer to show you round Lyme Regis/West Bay etc in Dorset, Somerset and Devon, but I'm coming to USA to live!!
London would leave you underwhelmed. But the history is there. But it is dirty, smelly and generally unpleasant. With a few highlights thrown in.
I hope your son enjoys whatever you do.
At least in the UK there's no major language difficulties....
