I'm going to be a sophomore, I get good grades (A's and B's), but I tend to procrastinate and end up doing my homework at the last minute. Last year I wasn't as organized as I'd like to have been, and I sometimes got stressed. This year I'm also planning on joining winter and spring track. Any tips on how to be more organized, stop procrastinating and being lazy, getting work done, and making room for some free time and lessening stress? I'd like to get straight A's all year and still be able to balance track and other activities. How could I do that best?

Agree with sam.. get a schedule book or a diary and set deadlines for your self.. these should be achievable.. sometimes you miss deadlines due to external factors.. but when you miss them you have good enough reason and next time keeping those reasons and factors in mind you can set a more reasonable deadline,.. this will help you be more organised and also might help you improve your time management skills...

i have problems with procrastination too. it helped me a lot in high school to keep busy with extracurricular activities, so then i don't have time to procrastinate. i would to go school, go to work, then head straight from work to play practice, then when i'd come home i'd do my homework. and that's what it would be like every day. on the weekends i'd have time for free time. it helped me a lot to make a set schedule of things i had to do every day, and just repeat that schedule every day.

For homework, try giving yourself rewards when you finish the work or studying correctly. It will make a difference!

Try getting a large binder that holds everything, adn label each subject.

The major weapon you need is discipline. If you are able to discipline yourself and be focused on your goals, everything becomes easy.Set your sight on your goals for the year and view anything that will distract you as an obstacle that must be overcome. If you remain focused and disciplined, you will overcome these obstacles. Good luck.

Make an outline of your priorities and follow it cronologically.
