Well, they provide a good income and my friend workers as a programer for the state. Makes over 60k and has little to no work. His vacation time is ridiculous and has practically no stress in his job. So yea having a goverment job does not sound all that bad.

why not govt jobs are great jobs! there are great benefits, you can be rest assured of not being asked to do overtime without reason...... and the fringe benefits like health & dental insurance are great add ons! You get a 2 days off everyweekend a annual leave. 8-5 timings how much more comfortable can life get!

I have a government job, we work very hard and have to put up with a lot of ignorance from the public that has no idea what we do and how hard we work! Vaction time is off the chain! Benefits are great and job security is a reality!

Many people would love a job in government because it's decent pay, usually with very good benefits and perks for doing hardly any work.

Yes ofcource.The govt.job is more secure.It gives peace of mind.They r mostly transferable.U can visit number of places on transfer at government's expence.

of course, they always have the best jobs, and they keep getting bigger and bigger, and they will never get smaller, no matter which party is in white house. at least between the big 3 parties.

NO WAY! Although it's good pay the government is to nosy for me. I have a regular job and there all in my info so imagine me getting a well adjusted government job. I'm good, thanks but no thanks.
