I have no sealant available, and I do not know where to turn the water system off.

keep the ballcock up drain water out by flushing and put something in cistern to keep the ballcock up water wont go into
cistern.
then tomorrow get sealant

i had similar problem if its tube into toilet try pushing it in more if its by cistern try tightening bolt.

The water supply connection to the toilet should be under the toilet by the wall. If it's not there, I wouldn't know where to look. You might need a new connection or maybe a new washer for the base of the water tower inside the bowl.

if you are not planning to use the toilet then flush the toilet...then press the ball **** (no im not being rude)down to the bottom of the cistern..weigh it down with something like a house brick to stop it from rising..your water should stop from filling back up...temporary fix till you can get it done

Turn the water off where the bowl is there is no need to turn off all your water, once turned off let it dry and get a candle and place the way around the pipe,

replace the tank to bowl seat gasket... you can get a kit almost anywhere. There are 2 bolts that hold the tank down against the bowl. Do not over tighten these. Do tighten them equally until the tank sets upright.

You can use insulation tape as a temp
Or even sellotape then cover the tape with superglue or any glue to seal it
