Richard Ashcroft (or the Verve) always makes me think of London.
Me and my man (ex now) were used to big rooms in chic hotels. Big baths, huge beds, heated mirrors, excellent room service, you know the sorts.
When we came to London for a weekend away, we entered the hotel. And it was... well, primitive is the right word.
And then we saw the hotel room it was... erm... very primitive. The bed's size was so small that we had to sleep really really close to each other. We weren't used to that.
But after that weekend, we were more in love than we ever were.
Song for Lovers. London.
It's still a good memory.
