Is it possible to have a teen in trouble alert method of reporting?

Examples if you find a post where a scared girl think she is going to get abused, the raped teen I just answered,

Say one worried about junkie friends or think a gang is going to hurt them...

Where authourities can be alerted or social serives or just get the attention of professions who could contact them?

Getting unwanted emails from perves

Were the post certainly WON'T get removed and help can be given yahoo?

Maybe find out if the kid is making it up or exagerating ... ie some guy dumped her so she says he abused her so no jumping guns but flagging the post?

It's an excellent idea.

However, Yahoo! doesn't have the manpower to do that kind of thing on here yet.

There's a lot of kids who post stupid things. I feel pretty bad for the ones who really do need help, and only resort here for help, because right now, there's not enough professional help.

Maybe if someone sees a child's post and has the authority, they could personally contact that poster via email and try for some intervention, but that's probably unlikely.

It's good that you care, though.

i like the idea a lot, and it would be great if yahoo could organize something of that nature.
a lot of victims of abuse and other things come here and ask the "what should i do?" questions, and most are taken as a joke because there are so many abusers of the current system.
if we had such a protocol, i'd probably include a way to notify the parents in the case of minor abuse. unless specified that the abuser is a parent/s, then i would contact social services.
i really hope there enough people who care and have enough pull to put this system into effect. the benefits to the people and kids would be phenomenal .

As with my answer to another question here. Such a system would be great, but where is the funding going to come from? You can be sure that Yahoo themselves won't provide it because you would need such a system for every country in the world, and sadly that is just not finacialy viable. Like so many good ideas, the problem is always money.
