I will start with the simpler answers.
Psylocke and Jamie Madrox should have been X-Men. Juggernaut is not a Mutant. His costume appears to be some sort of hybrid of Ultimate Juggernaut and J2. Magneto should not have had trouble moving the Bridge. Bishop had no business in X3. (He is in the novel) The main problem with specifically the third movie is they tried to make it work with people who only or predominately read Ultimate X-Men. Rouge, Bobby, Scott, Jean, And Pete (Pietor) should have been around the same age. Iceman and Rouge had no Business together. Multiple Man should have been a bit younger than Bobby.
I think Xavier was meant for Patrick Stewart. They could be twins. I have for years said that Star Trek is a rip off of X-Men. Case in point next generation. Picard = Professor X, Riker = Cyclops, Troy = Jean Grey, Worf = Wolverine. The similarities are scary. In "Planet X" a Star Trek/X-Men crossover novel the X-Men talk about Picard looking just like Xavier.
I also feel Hugh Jackman is a convincing Logan.
I think Rebbecca Romain is a great Mystique, especially after Erik breaks her heart.
I think Anna Paquinn should have played Kitty in the three movies.
I agree Brittney Murphy would be a great rouge.
Halley Berry was good in the first two movies. The third performance was crappy.

well, first, iceman should have ben part of the xmen before wolverine, second archangel or angel should have been part of the xmen before the horrid thrid movie, the ages seemed ok for what they wanted they could have been a bit younger. magneto looked really old int eh movies but his age is actually right for the movie, common you cant find a sexy looking concentration camp survior(whic in the comic he was), multiple man should never have been a bad guy, he was a good guy but hey what do you do? Plus juggernaut IS NOT A MUTANT, he gets his power from a gem not his genes, this is a fallacy on the part of the writers!!!!! As far as looks i am impressed with wolvering jackman di a good job for what he was trying to protray, but also storm was good and jean grey, and xavier, the one that sucked was cyclops may he be dad in the next few movies. But iw ould also say that the best actor for all of them was nightcrawler i really liked his character i felt real to the comic.

I don't think there's enough room here to answer even the first one! For the stories that they dealt with, almost everyone was the wrong age--several of them also didn't arrive at Xavier's at the right time (Jean Grey came in later than Ice Man, Rogue started out w/Brotherhood of Evil mutants, etc., etc.) The last stand just crammed together too many story lines--you had Dark Phoenix and the whole "vaccine" story line mixed together and it didn't work--Phoenix got cheated. Oh, and Xavier dies much later. Personally, I think whathisname that played Wolverine did the best job, although he could have been a little grittier. Still he had the looks and the devil may care attitude down. I hope to see more of that in the Wolverine movie that they must be making.

Professor X was convincing enough, as was Nightcrawler and Mystic. Jean Grey was okay.
I thought Brittany Murphy should play Rogue. She's got the looks and her voice is perfect for it. Anna Paquin had been totally unconvincing throughout.
Iceman in the movies is a total loser.
Hugh Jackman did great with Wolverine. I don't think anyone else can actually better that.

The movie versions sucked big time.
They changed the characters and their histories around so much that it is totally different then the stories Chris Claremont originally crafted.
You have characters that should never have met at the time in the same movie and the ages of the characters are all wrong.
Too many details to list here, so, if you want more specifics you can email me at clit_niblr28@yahoo.com.

I shall attempt to answer the question.
Nothing was wrong with the movies it just they could do everything they did in the comics, but what I didn't like was making Ice man and Rouge a couple and not having ice man an original member.
Rouge should have been in her late teens at least Bobby should have been in his late twenty's maybe early 30s
A lot of chars that were in the books started off a villains but what I didn't like was having sphyhlock a villian.

Night crawler was still an active member.
Rogue was an older woman.
Multiple man.
I feel that the act who played night crawler portrayed him very well.
