Expansion exceeding the velocity of light would put the Universe as an almost instantaneous construction and formation?
And how would Poisson"s equation fit into gravity formation?
And Einstein's time dilation formula?

well, the big bang was not an explosion of matter in empty space. space-time itself seems to have originated in the big bang. nothing, not even space-time, exists "outside" the universe. the big bang was the entire universe, and everywhere in the universe was once the big bang. the universe is four-dimensional, but if you can imagine a two-dimensional version then it seems to be like the surface of a sphere. it is this surface that is expanding.

the universe does seem to have expanded by a factor of about 10e+50 by the time the universe was about 10e-34 seconds old. after that tho, the expansion rate slowed until about five billion years ago when it began to accelerate. the expansion rate is now increasing.
