Absolutely! Thinking positive thoughts and having a positive attitude is a stress reliever, gets you over illness faster.
Actually they say you live longer and healthier.
All my life I've tried to find something positive in other people and most of the time, its even turning the negative ones around.
Road rage is one example, if one is speeding and cutting me off, instead of yelling curse words, I tell myself, maybe he's in a hurry because he just got a call from the hospital and his wife/child are sick. That quiets me down.
It has helped me get through two operations, even the doctors can't believe how fast I heal. I don't complain about hospital food, nurses etc. I don't whine when I am in pain. I take it all in stride and tell myself, that this isn't going on forever, it will end. The same at work if you have a really lousy day, you know 5 pm will arrive, there's an end in sight. Anyway this are a few of my things.

By turning negative thoughts around, a person is able to accomplish more than he/she thought was possible; negative thoughts are self-perpetuating, but so are positive ones.

If you tell yourself that you will try to do or achieve something, then try and fail, you still will have taken steps in the right direction. By being afraid to try or convincing yourself that you can't, you are stuck and unable to move forward.

Reworking your thoughts into the positive mode will not necessarily guarantee success in all attempts but it will set in motion a more rewarding method of thinking. Positive thinking is not being arrogant or idealistic, but it does give a person the ability to go out there and make the effort. If an effort is made, it is better than giving in to negativity.

The more one tries, the likelier the chances that rewards will occur. Little baby steps are all it takes to become a positive thinker. From positive thinking, one's life can turn around.

Positive input = Positive output, positive persons succeed and are more grateful for what they have and have accomplished. Do negative kids ever really get straight A's or make Honor's roll? If life was filled with positive people our life would be more productive and serene.

Live in today, focus on the moment, do your best in all situations and you will definately see a tremendous change in those around you also.

yes, does not happen all at once though. You tend to have a better outlook toward others as well as yourself. Easier to respect yourself and others when you see things in a positive light instead of belittling those around you for being different

Most definitely. If I'd not been positive I would be a manic depressive by now. Instead I see everything that most would assume negative as my latest challenge to overcome.

Yes it does. Just to face the fact that there are things you can't fix, and then let it go allows you to concentrate on the good stuff.
