It could be a sensor issue. As long as you've had someone look at it professionally, don't worry. My car is quite a youngin', and every now and then the light comes on and stays on. I had it looked at, and they said not to worry about it. But it used to freak me out. Now, it doesn't.

if the light stays on then you have a hard code ( a defective part ) get the code read, then you will know what part could be at fault, or i could give you the name of every sensor your vehicle had and you could replace them all ???

Autozone, Checker whatever auto parts store you have around will usually do a free diagnostic on your car then sell you whatever it is you need. Yea, you can trust them.

Could be a burned out censor. Try disconnecting the battery then reconnect to see if that resets it.
