when did the government start to put security strips in large bills of $$? I have a 100 dollar bill from 1970 and it doesn't have one and Im just curious.

when crafty folks started making copies of the bills with their home printers in the mid 90's I think

im not sure, but before i try to spend that i would go to a bank and ask them for sure, maybe they could exchange it for you too
