Not all men. There are many men who express their emotions all the time. Just because some don't, it doesn't mean all are like that. Some women don't express their emotions. It all depends upon the person.

We don't really. I think men just know how to deal with emotions better than women. We're actually more direct and forward than women usually. For example when we are attracted to a woman, they can tell, because we make it obvious. When I'm happy tehres a smile on my face. When I'm nervous I pace. When my favorite sports team scores, I let out a hollar. I think the misconception comes when we don't let negative emotions paralyze us. For example fear. Men have to work through fear, its in our nature. If we allowed ourselves to shutdown in the face of the unknown we wouldn't make it. Just because we don't break down and cry every time we're sad doesn't mean we aren't in touch with that feeling.

On the contrary.
I think men in general are very sensitive species women on average intend to mislook thinking their issue is far more relevant compared to that of men.
Men are programmed to appear strong and brave so they do their utmost best to show no emotion and support that by being tough on the outside.I think if women will just fine-tune their channels with regards to men,I'm almost sure that men are just as emotional as women but society tells them not to since it's not very manly to let the whole world see the feminine side of him.
Somehow men and women has his/her own strategy to relay the message and be heard of the point he/she wants to the opposite gender.Let's just say expressions are better visible with women since we don't bottle it up and it's also expected of us to use more than one word to get understood unlike men where logic comes first place.
Men&women are just unique and distinct in his own ways and that's about it.

Becauser men are raised from boyhood not to show emotion and to keep everything bottled up from their fathers, It was known that if you were a boy and cried your were a sissy, growing up with that standard causes your sub con. to carry that through out your life even if you do not realize it as most men do not, as its all in how they are raised, if a boy was raised with only his mother he would be able to express himself better as the mother does not put in to his head thing such as your a man don't cry, your a man you can't show that you care, etc: instead the mother babies her boy and shows him about how to treat a gal, and be a gentle man and not a buthole so to speak... its all in the way your raised.

I think men are afraid of being hurt most of the time. They feel that if they open up they will become vulnerable and open to be burnt. Also, men are big fans of silence. Just because they aren't talking and telling you their feelings, doesn't mean there is something wrong. It could mean the opposite and they are just content to be with you!

Some are complete idiots.

The rest of us take the time to understand women and do express their emotions without worry.

Men are wired differently. They are goal oriented while women are relationship oriented. If men want to get more in touch with their emotions, they need to connect with theri "softer" side a little more. Women will appreciate it.

Because they are brought up to be tough! Don't cry. Don't whine. I'll give you something to cry about. Crying, sharing emotions, communication are all signs of weakness to the boy who is brought up to be a man!
Of course, then we complain because men won't share their thoughts.
And of course, if they do, they are thought to be girlie.
They can't win.

Because they aren't taught to express them when they are younger. They are taught to be macho and unfeminine their whole lives, for fear of being gay. I'm trying to teach my son to express himself and be open with people. My husband isn't open emotionally, but I hope that our son can see that we work on it as a family.

I hope, if this is a problem with you, that you overcome it and be as open and honest as you can be with the ones you love.
