I just read on MSN news that Guiness book of World Records has given Paris Hilton the record for being the most overrated celebrity.I'll bet Paris has an exhausted publicist. I can't stand this woman!I can't stand a celebrity that's always in my face everytime I watch a tv show,pick up a magazine,etc. I won't watch the channel or buy the magazines anymore either. I just don't get it that they think we can't get enough of her!Anybody else have any thoughts on this?

I agree lttlbt22, but it's because sex sells. Haven't we learned anything about taking the bait? I think one of the reasons the reality shows are popular is because they are about real people and nobody really cares about celebrities anymore. The average ordinary Joe can be one now.

Yes, she is. I also think its ridiculous that she considers herself the blond icon of the ages (or whatever babble she said). She is so far from iconic. All she is, is a slutty debutante who has too much money and time on her hands.

Honestly I do agree but at the same time its not just her that gets annoying!!!!!! I have kids and it bothers me that every show I watch or movie I rent even the pg 13 has nudity in them now or some kind of sexual content. They talk about how ppl start having sex so young then get it off our tv's cuz that were they are learning it. All celebrities are someones roll model and none or very few actually take that resposability..........All they think about is how sexy they are and how much money they can make off sick perverted men that have no life and get a thrill of seeing them on tv.

Do I sense a lil jeolousy? I like Paris. I think she is pretty classy. I have never seen her angry or negative, unlike, well , YOU!
The reason she became so popular in the first place is because she was friendly and had a cool attitude toward people in general, including the celeb camera people. She got their attention because she was clubbing in Holywood. Can't hold that against her. She kept her composure and got very good reviews. She is "hot". Sure many women are hot. Maybe you are too, but why do you hate her for it? Why do you hate at all? You seem to be following Paris in the press. I didn't know anything about that Guiness book thing. I doubt very many others here did either.
I think you should embrace paris, not despise her, it doesn't become you.
Those are my thoughts. You shouldn't be offended. After all, you did ask for them. Take care.
Oh, P.S.--I don't care much for Nichole Richie's attitude toward people though. I think Paris should find a new sidekick.

Paris is just a Daddy's little (rich) girl who's a ''celebrity'' because of who she's related to. She's only using the media to play ''star'' since she's got nothing better else to do. You know? I take that back...she's a star alright, a PORN star.

the thing is, is that very few people had heard of la hilton (especially in the uk) before her "private" movie came out..she's a prime example of how "sex sells".
