neil peart, jon bonham def., joey joridson of slipknot. carter beauford of dave matthews band. you seriously need to listen to him. I have some of his drum videos and he is great. There are alot more that I could list i just can't come up with names right now. and Travis Barker isn't great. and David Grohl's fills are simple to play. He is better at guitar. If you want to listen to some good drumming listen to alot of metal and classic rock. oh yea.. Alex Van Halen. Hot for teacher has to be one of the hardest songs for drums I have ever heard.

saw the aussie rock band JET perform on thursday night and couldn't help but notice the fact the drummer contributed some very good vocals, some songs he'd be the only guy with his mouth up to a mic. absolutely brilliant talent, and i must say that Karen Carpenter belongs on this list, which i copied and pasted from the site listed below.
1 Levon Helm of The Band
2 Grant Hart of Husker Du
3 Phil Collins of Genesis
4 The guy in the Romantics who sings "What I Like About You"
5 Tim O'Reagan of The Jayhawks

John Bonham had a natural rhythm.
Neil Peart of Rush was classically trained and has a Phd in percussion.
When you listen to Xanadu from
"Farewell to Kings" you know that he is classically trained.

John Bonham is ingeniusly incredible.
I also like Joey Jordison from Slipknot.
Not as much as Bonham, though.
I even own JB vistalites.
That's how much I love him.

Wow. There are so many. My favorite is probably Lombardo. Especially the early Slayer stuff.
