I'm still looking for ideals for my 50th birthday party for next year. If anyone have any ideals, please let me here from you.

The truth is you have a lot to be celebrating. It is a banner year! If you like out of doors, you could have a garden party. You could have more people that way if your house is small. Or if money is no object rent your local dance hall and have a real "shin dig". Get a live band. Have it catered and just enjoy yourself. If you live in the country have a barn dance.

When my husband turned 50, we reserved the banquet room at our favorite seafood and steak place. We invited about 20 couples. We picked up the bill and provided carafes of good red and white wine. The bar - for cocktails - was no host.
I ordered his favorite dessert from a bakery and the restaurant served it.
What a night - a lot of people met other people, the table was lively with conversation, and everyone loved the restaurant and the setting, watching the June full moon rise over the city.
When I turn 50, we're doing the same thing, only the restaurant moved to an even better location. Happy 50th! It's only the start of something really great!

I'm only 16, but a lot of my relatives have had 50th birthday parties. It seems to me that the commen theme is this: just do something totally unlike you. I don't know, maybe it just seems that way cause I'm young and stupid, but I don't know... Our pastor had bagpipe players at his party, and my aunt dressed up like a clown... neither of which I suggest, but hey, I'm just telling what I know! Remember, you're never going to turn fifty again, so make this party a good one! I'd love to hear any of your ideas as well, because my dad's turning 50 next Feb.

Happy Birthday!
