Do you think that black pride flags are racist?

If a white person had a white pride flag they would be classed as racist so surely black pride flags must be racist.

yes it is, most people fail to notice that black people can be racist too tho, most people think racism is a white person calling a black person names, i'm just for the riots to start lol

No and I'm not just saying that because i am black... your flag is the American flag... MTV is your bet and if you really did your research you would know that MTV owns bet if you don't like it send them a complaint...i live in Chicago and have never seen a black pride flag if u mean an African flag it just represents where u are from if that's the case Mexicans must be racists for having a Mexican pride flag right???? keep in mind we all have freedom of speech and expression.. if you want to change it try like the president.. and I'm not racist one of my best friends is white.. p.s. find something else to talk about like lack of education in poor black neighborhoods fortunately i have money and a good education or better yet the war on terrorism (hahah) great plan.. or even better the millions that were turned away by this equal opportunity nation to aid Louisiana after hurricane Katrina or even better the millions that went into bushes pocket

It depends on how it is being used or portrayed. If it's in a positive light, it is NOT racist. Flags only represent people. Every country has a flag, so what is wrong with the Black Pride Flag? Black heritage is only celebrated one month out of an entire year. People need to start being educated more about black heritage and culture. A lot of people don't understand black culture, so by learning MORE, they will respect it more.

Don't be so fast to criticize what you don't know and understand. This is part of what's wrong with this country.

Responding to the TV channels comment, how many white shows are there? MOST of TV shows have white people in them and only white people. How many black people have shows on TV? Not as many as whites! That is a fact- blacks have only ONE channel. How backwards is that? Another thing, most of the shows on tv don't even have black people, and if they do, there is only one, and then they are depicted as a stereotype.

Very Much So, We need our own TV channel WET White entertainment television, They Have BET, I'd bet that would be considered racist tooThe UPN and WB networks are employing what some Black scholars call "underhanded ***** tactics" to get ratings. Like Fox Studios, UPN and WB are aiming the majority of their programming and advertising at the urban marketplace(read: African-American and Latino). Within time, Fox grew beyond the Black audience once syndicators and advertisers took them seriously and altered their programming to attract the all-important 18-to-30 female demographic. Nobody should be surprised if in a few years UPN and WB will look indistinguishable from the other networks in their racial makeup. Shows like The Wayans Brothers, Sparks, Homeboys in Outer Space, Goode Behavior, and The Parent 'Hood all suffer tremendously from bad writing. One reason for this is lack of minority writers on these series. There are very few African-American shows with Black creative management, this includes writers, producers, agents, and directors.

Black flags represent self liberation.Not racism.The only caucasion flags I know of are the confederate flag and the nazi flag.Besides those of other nations.Those(confedaerate and nazi) are racist.Not for self liberation, but self supremacy over any ethnic backround.Even some religions.Even the flag of the black panther is for self liberation.They are not meant to claim racism.It is meant to say we fight for freedom.We fight for liberation.Not to enslave another.I mean you don't see anyone complain when someone has the american flag.But we do when it is the confederate.For example, if you see someone with a flag of Ghana or the West Indies it is purley for the statement of self liberation.Not meant to inflict racism.Just like the american flag.

If it's a "Pride" flag than it is definitely not racist. Hispanics have Pride flags and it's not racist to anybody.

That would be true, if us Whites hadnt been racist towards Black people since god knows when..we've crushed and oppressed their culture for years and taught them the 'virtues' of being 'white'..they are well within their rights to celebrate their heritage, we've shoved ours down their throats for long enough
