No one is trying to gaslight you. You ARE crazy.
It's never happened to me, but I did move all of the furniture in my friend's house. It was an even meaner joke, because he is blind.

I had the bowl passed to me the night before a vital meeting at work. I was concerned about the effects, since I had never tried weed before! This stuff is mild my friend said as she proceded to shotgun my first and only hit. Hold it in, she said...so I did... until my lungs burned... then I exhaled it all coughing and teary-eyed...much to her amusement! I said..that's enough...I think I'm fine with that.
Then, I remember she said that some people can't handle the THC and go permanently psychotic...but that I shouldn't have to worry.
Okay... fine!
But I DID worry...I didn't want to get mind-screwed!!
So here's where I got gaslit!!
After a night of pure hell...I found out she had DUSTED the grass!!!

If you're referring to the act of siphening off gas from your tank, it's happened to my roommate, you just have to start parking under street lights and in busier areas.
