I heard he was wanting to follow up the godawful Braveheart with a similar film about the Last Prince of Wales.

I'm Welsh, a graduate in ancient Welsh history and it would make me sick to think of him taking advantage of our history and legend to peddle his twisted anti-English mania. What does Wales mean to him? NOTHING!! Our history would be just another platform to make money and show what a bigot he is. Braveheart was complete crap, completely one sided and did not take into account the fact that raids on the Scottish border were a two way thing not just "evil" English and "heroic" Scots!

No doubt if he did do this Llywelyn film it would be a similar fiasco abnd would not even address the fact that it was the NORMANS Llywelyn was fighting not "The English".

I say he keeps out of our country and our history! I'd find it personally insulting.

If such a film was to be made (and it would be a brilliant idea) it should star Ioan Gruffudd, perhaps Rhys Ifans and other Welsh talent, and be directed by someone who knew what they were talking about, not that nasty little anti-semite. Him being in the country would be an insult to the memories of the Welsh people who died fighting the Nazis in WWII.

Aw, I kinda liked Braveheart, but that's probably because I'm a dumb American who doesn't know enough about our own history, let alone Scotland's.

That aside, I hadn't heard about a Welsh movie project from Gibson, but it wouldn't suprise me. The man is a total embarrassment. This latest drunken fiasco of his is just another example of how out of control he is. Anti-Semitism is a complete bafflement to me - I don't understand it at all.

But now you've got me interested. I have no idea who Llywelyn ap Gruffudd is, but now I'm going to look him up on the Internet and find out about him. Thanks for a chance to learn.

You need to read some non English history books about Scotland before you comment on Scottish history you dimwit. It was far worse than braveheart. I know my history I was born in Stirling.
Anglo welsh? Thought so.
It may romanticise Wallace but at least it had passion.
Have you read about Culloden. Berwick etc. What would you call it? Not very nice?
Stick to what to subjects you know.
Oh of course you dont know because your people were overthrown enslaved and their history erased.

i hope to god not, braveheart was the worst lot of dribble i have ever seen and i was just glad i did not pay any money to see it. That drunken anti-semite catholic fundamentalist australian baboon knows nothing about our and your history, if he had his way no doubt he would play the leading role!!!! and the great history of wales would be put back a 1000 years, i,m not welsh (although i share my birthday with st david ) he would just hollywoodize it with soft focus and crappy music
