Dracula was first published 26 May 1897.The book never actually stated when it took place.At the end of the book it states that the events happened seven years before [recorded]. If that is the case it would have been about 1890.
"Seven years ago we all went through the flames. And the happiness of some of us since then is, we think, well worth the pain we endured."
