Where did you come from before coming here and where do you know that you will be going to when you leave here?

That body that you are hiding in, you did not bring here, neither will you get to take it when you leave here.

If you do not know these two answers then your question is irrelevant and does not merit discussion.

First, the word "theory:" In ordinary conversation, we often use the word "theory" to mean "speculation," or "guesswork," as in the sentence, "I have a theory as to why Ellen left her husband."

That is not what the word "theory" means in the scientific context. Scientists use the word "theory" to mean "a related body of concepts, rules, and information that describe an event or phenomenon or explain observed events." Theory is an important part of science because it gives us specific statements of fact that can be tested to strengthen or contradict existing explanations of things.

If you read an article about a radio transmitter in an electrical engineering journal, you will encounter a section titled "Theory of Operation." This does not mean the author is guessing or speculating as to how the radio set works. The section is a description of the underlying ideas and technical facts, and how they are related to the practical operation of the device.

Those are examples of how scientists use the word "theory." It does not mean "guesswork."

Now then. "Creation" is the name of a religious or metaphysical doctrine to the effect that some or part of the observable field of existing matter and energy is the result of the effort of a generative higher power. Being a metaphysical doctrine, this assertion cannot be tested and proved or disproved.

For the 1,800th time: Creation is a matter of belief, rather than fact, and anyone is free to believe as he or she wishes. The matter cannot be resolved.

Again: "Evolution" is the scientific notion that living things change in anatomy and physiology over time in response to external natural forces. This is factual and the evidence for the notion of evolution is overwhelming. It is a simple and incontravertable fact that living things evolve.

Finally, there is no conflict between the realization that living things evolve and the belief that a higher power providentially creates things. There is no problem with believing in God and also believing in Evolution.

You have to be schizophrenic to keep insisting that living things do not evolve. The observed reality is to the effect that they have and they do. And evolution explains a part of how God does the creating that He/She/It/They do(es). There is no conflict between the two ideas, and people who want to make it a conflict are just out of anything to worry about, and need to get a hobby.

This question, which is asked at least twice a day, needs to be under religion and NOT under some other catagory.

Creationism is NOT a science... it's religious Bull and it's phony. Evolution has NOT BEEN A THEORY for over 100 YEARS., so why do your 'believers' keep insisting on calling it a friggin' THEORY.... Evolution is a SCIENCE... it's a REAL SCIENCE and there is more proof of Evolution than has EVER existed that that GEEZUS ever existed.

Please...put this nonsense in the Religious and Spiritulism section and stop insulting the intelligence of people who know better.

Belief is something you think is the way things are and is upsetting if questioned. Science is something that is there even if you don't like it.

Evolution has more evidence for it than creationism, so one is science and the other is faith. Wether you like it or not evolution is a fact of nature.

Why the conflict? Evolution does not address where life came from, only how it developed into the variety we see around us.

Both... think about it! God creates... and places in creation the laws of Natural Selection and Evolution for creation to continue. If you study Chemistry and Physics... any particle that has motion and movement ... eventually decays by using up it energies... so therefore... if evolution and growth was not a part of creation... we would not be here... creation would dissipate. So... evolution is the Law that God instilled in his creation of all things... and that is why I believe in both... Creation and Evolution!

Sort of a serious question.

Well, we believe in both (somewhat)

Your body is evolved through the elements of the planet and the universe for that matter. There is much more we need to learn about this process. But the basic concept is true.

Your "true essence" or "soul" to some it the part that you can consider "created". It is the immortal part of you, not bound by time or space. Your "soul" incarnates in the body where it will be their until the body dies. You may consider that this is the part created in "Gods image"

This is a simple way to look at it, there is much, much more to this. Buts that enough for you guys.

Now back to my goofing with the rubes.

That is a bunch of crap, we didn't evolve from monkeys, that is the most retarded thing I ever heard, and the dude Darwin I heard was an egotistical jerk....who was trying to cover up the truth.......we all came from God, God created us all, and that is what happened, deal with it, believe it, because that is the truth!

I'm a grateful, born-again Christian, and I don't see why the two must be mutually exclusive. I don't mind waiting to know the truth of it.
