If you use tampons there is no reason why you cant go swimming. But if you don't use tampons then I wouldn't since you could release blood into the water at the pool and would probably find it dripping down your leg. What do you think all those female Olympic swimmers do? They certainly don't call off the swim because of their period. There is no problem health wise if that is what you are wondering about . You can do anything you normally do in life while on your period except while on your period you have the mess.

sure! most women wear a tampon while swimming if they're having their monthly cycle, if they also want to go swimming. especially if its only your first day, and the flow is still light. most women who do have a problem while they're on their cycle experience fatigue, nausia, or bloating (among other side effects) while they're on their monthy cycle, so they feel that they'd enjoy swimming much less, as they're enjoying life in general much less durring this time of month. if you do have problems in this area, pop a midol before you go, just to be sure. you should still have a great time, as long as it still sounds like fun to you.

Sure you can. Just wear a tampon. I think swimming helps to reduce my cramp pains.

yes you can...your period will most likely stop or slow temporarily while you are in the water, but just to make sure, wear a tampon and you'll be fine...have fun!

You can if you're able to wear a tampon.
Also, your flow DOES NOT stop while you're in the water.
