so cynicle? (if I'm spelling it right) like for an example, I asked a few questions about wallabies as pets, and not knowing me AT ALL, people automatically said things like "you can't afford one" or "you can't care for one". I realize that most people can't do those things, but how do they know if I can, or not?

My father used to say 'opinions are like a**hol**: everyone has one and must of them stink.' (When I was a kid, I would hear him say opinions are like armpits...)

He also began to tell people, when they'd exasperatedly try to end a debate by saying they were entitled to their own opinion (on politics or religion,) "No, you are not entitled to your opinion if it's based on ignorance."

Despite my father's insights and exhortations, the people of the world continue on their merry way, happily or angrily or pithily or cruelly sharing their ignorance. But, stay open and stay compassionate and you will stumble into fragrant armpits now and again.

(My dad once gave me his mercedes when he was going overseas. My mechanic told me, "You can't afford this car." Uh oh -- he was right... So, "consider the source" is a good guideline in evaluating any input you get.)

you know who cares what they think all you are doing is getting information on the animal. if you decide to own one just get the information on them first before you decide to accually buy one. i think they are cute animals. but if all you are doing is getting info than who cares what they think of you.
