Indiscriminate American War Machine?

For all you scumbags out there who think this country is a terrible fascist regime, consider this...

The US is the only country to economically and structurally rebuild every country we had dmaged in war (Look at Japan and Germany).

So if all we do is bomb and destroy, why do we give a helping hand (like we are doing now to Iraq) to countries that we damaged in war.

After WWII, General Douglas McArthur urged congress (and even threatened to go against orders to accomplish it) to rebuild Germany and Japan. Since then, in all of the wars and conflicts that the US has been in, there has been no substantial rebuilding afterwards, with one exception...Bosnia. After the Bosnia conflict, $billions rebuilding and repairing damage to Sarajevo and surrounding areas.

Bush assigned $billions ro rebuild Iraq...but nothing was actually done with the money. The money was given to a few large corporations without bids (all of them directly tied to members of the Bush administration...like Halliburton {Cheney still gets annual payments from them}, and Bechtel {Both Bush and Cheney as well as others own significant protions of the company's stock}, which companies then kept a large profit, and sold the bid to smaller subsidiaries, who kept a large profit, and sold the bid yet again to other companies (mostly foreign to both the US and Iraq...like china) to do the work. Smaller companies decided not to do the job, so gave a partial refund to the original corporations, who did not return anything to the American government. People in Baghdad still have electricity only a few hours per day, no potable drinking water, no natural gas, and billions of barrels of oil went missing...shortly before Exxon made record profits.

let's talk about fascism. Here's the definition from wikipedia:

Fascism is a radical totalitarian political philosophy that combines elements of corporatism, authoritarianism, extreme nationalism, militarism, anti-anarchism, anti-communism and anti-liberalism.

so...
- corporatism...check (see above)
- authoritarianism...check (NSA wiretap program ring any bells?)
- extreme nationalism...check (calling anyone that doesn't support Bush right or wrong a traitor or at least unpatriotic)
- militarism...check (we spend 2% more on military than the rest of the world combined)
- anti-anarchism...check (duh...these people want to control every aspect of our lives, but do not want to regulate corporations)
- anti-communism...check
- anti-liberalism...double check (stating that all liberals are traitors pretty much sums this one up)


so...by definition...at least since this president took office, the USA is a fascist regime.

Sure, US can rebuild. But no one can bring back the thousands of innocent lives lost. Put yourself in their position... what good is a helping hand when you've lost what you loved the most?

This argument does not fit the left wing political agenda. It is therefor invalid and not worthy of discussion. Go back and worry about our troops that are getting killed for lies, go back and worry about the innocent civilians we killed, and those poor prisoners we dressed up funny and took pictures of...start worrying about how we treat those men at Gitmo and torture them with loud music and such...
