There has been considerable investigation around the premise that homosexuality has a physical basis and is not learned behavior. Some research has found that the brains of gay men reacted more like those of women than of straight men in reaction to certain hormones and pheromones. Brain structure studies have shown that homosexual men may have differences in the size of the stria terminalis, an area of the brain related to sexual behavior. Other studies have shown the brain structure called the anterior commissure to be 34 percent larger in homosexual males than in heterosexual males. It is, according to recent research a distinct possibility that homosexuals have either abnormal brain structure or abnormal chemical imbalances.
Many concepts of law and in the field of mental illness are based on what is viewed as “normal,” abnormal, or “appropriate” behavior. Even though these terms are subjective most reasonable people and even professionals in law and medicine (albeit with years of training and experience) find little difficulty in classifying a person’s behavior as abnormal i.e. falling outside the norms of society.
The question then begs, can we ‘normalize’ homosexuality? If distinct physical or chemical differences between heterosexuals and homosexuals are present how can these unfortunate brain deformed people be considered normal?
The second question then begs, can laws (marriage laws for example) be passed as if these people are normal when they are really an abnormal oddity and should be considered as such?

Nope it isn't. It's actually something chosen, you are not born with it.

Does it really matter? There are so many theories out there. I read a recent study that said the youngest child of a family of three or more is 80% more likely to be homosexual than the oldest or the middle child. But to the crux of your question.........
What is NORMAL? Normal is nothing more than the opinion of a person based in their culture, geographical location, religious beliefs, taught and learned experiences and many other factors.
Normal is nothing more than an opinion so live and let live I say.

From what I have read and heard, I believe it is both. First the person must have some biological predisposition to that. Then, the social aspects of their life have to line up just right so that they are not only motivated to have that kind of sexual encounter, they are also given the opportunity. Then there is also the fact that society in general pretty much doesn't think it's so bad any more. So there is very little deterrent -- negative results are not so likely any more, in other words.

No, it is not. Sexuality of any kind, is usually identifiable by puberty. Before that, guys like to hang with other guys, and girls like to hang with other girls. Most don't even think about having sex until after that unless there is a strong outside influence to do so. Something would have to intervene in the natural course of things, to change that. It could be being abused by an adult, or a vicious prank by teenagers or something that happened in that child's upbringing that would change that course.
We cannot normalize the abnormal. We must continue to seek out the variables that cause the anomaly.

yup - it's "normal" - 25% or so are homosexual and 75% are Hetero with some bi-influence.
That' s I think a higher rate than lefthanded people.

And whatever the reason for being gay, it's really not important. Why do people always think about the sexuality of others? I guess that's normal too but somehow a waste of time and energy.

Nobody is normal . Normal is a statistical concept ,so no single person or thing is normal .Normals are them who have spreed under the central surface of the Gaussian diagram .others are far more different from normals and are lower in number . Mostly them who are not normal cause evolution and differentiation . To be forceful successful and evolving a society needs out of normal people .You should use the best laws for your community to survive .

First of all, no one living is 'normal'. What is normal? Are you normal? Am I normal? Is the person who answered this question above me normal? I doubt it because we don't know what is normal in the first place.

You may think you see normal in someone but you are not with that person 24/7 or behind closed doors (all doors). What some people do in their privacy may make your mouth drop! You will be ready to say, "Now that's not normal", but you always looked at him/her as being normal. This same theory goes for you too.

I do believe that God does not make mistakes too. How do we know that being gay is a mistake? How do we know that this is not what God intended? Perhaps, He want to see what we are going to do when it comes to a person who is gay and likes his/her own gender. How well are we going to treat them? Can they get some respect? You should not go around beating someone up because they are different from you.

I personally know a 5 yr little boy who has female tendencies. He plays with dolls (he has cars, trucks, sport equipment) but he prefers to play with a cabbage patch doll and does things to her hair like add barrettes and bows and things. The doll belongs to his baby sister. (I think she let him have the doll)
He has not been touched inappropriately. He is a talker just like a little girl. A regular "chatty patty".

This little boy has asked his mom and his autie why didn't God make him a girl? He loves the color pink. He will put things on his ears and pretend they are earrings and put a t-shirt on his head and act like it is hair. He has somewhat of a pitch to his voice. His mother will make him stop acting out who he is. She kinda don't know what to do sometimes. "It is what it is".

The little boy manages to keep most of girly like ways from his daddy. His dad still can see things. The little boy flips his wrist all the time while talking. He wiggles when he walks and snaps his fingers all the time. There is nothing anyone can do about it except maybe make it worse by meddling with something that God created. He still gets love but sometimes it can be a bit much.

It is true, God does not make mistakes. For any of the answerers to this question, if you feel that way, why is hard to believe that babies can be born gay? Why is it hard to believe that being gay is something that cannot be helped? It is their natural instinct to do the things they do and talk the way they talk and move and walk the way they do. I think they would prefer to be straight. Life would be more tolerable for them that's for sure.

If babies can be born with missing limbs, blind, or a hole in it's heart, then why is it hard to believe that a baby's brain was not developed to be a straight boy or a straight girl? Perhaps the brain has too much of one thing and not enough of something else.

God probably want to see if we can just love one another no matter what. NO matter what the skin color, no matter what your background is, no matter if you go to church or not, no matter what college you go to, no matter who you fall in love with - same gender or not.

I'M TALKING ABOUT REAL GENUINE
GAYNESS, NOT SOMEONE EXPLORING KINKY SEX.

You see. . . . . . .we have so much prejudice in this world it is unbelievable!! God may feel that since a race can be treated like they are nothing because of the color of their skin, I will do something that is across the board and everyone can feel it and in some cases be afraid of it.

Homosexuals are everywhere. They are rich and poor, Whites as well as African Americans, Mexicans, Italians, Jews, etc.

Now, everyone can see how it feels to be judged by something you are born with. All races of babies can be born gay. This is something that does not just affect one certain group of people. All races and economic backgrounds have gay people.

He created us all even the gay people - learn to love others, even if they are different on the outside or not "normal".

If you really think about it , nothing is normal..

Everything is in constant flux..Normal is a relative term....Relative only to the people with the power to make laws and control our lives...

10 years ago , the stuff we're doing right now on the internet would be unthought of..
Attitudes are constantly changing too...Fashon, morals, everything....
What matters is how we as a people..... as humanity ... use that change.
Not for the few but for the whole ,no matter who we are ..........

i beg to differ the thing is GOD dnt make a mistake when he created us he made us to be the sex we are for a reason. these scientist and whatever what ever jsut do these fack researches for attentin and its their job remember that alwys. gayism is a learnt thing .its abnormal if God knew he wanted this earth to have gays there he would have made it possible atleast make improvisions for when they are having sex . just as much as if smoking was oky we all would have chimneys to take the smoke out of our systems dont get me wrong im not against any gayism or what but thats as far as i see it dispite of my religion.we are living in a modernised society where we have to have all our needs catered for thats why some of these things are now like normal behaviour but its not.some things in life we dont have to rely on these ologists to tell us whats is right and wrong thats why each of us was given brains to think for your self we all have a concience you know when you are gone beyond the boundary and not. all thiese things we have its because MEN are just too experimental.thats why we even have all these gadgets in the house coz of mere lazyiness to stand up and switch the telly on. the most laziest person so it boring and time consuming so what did he do he invented a remote control so appkies to evrythign else. to the extent we are now bringing it even to our personal lives. i beleive its just hormones that trick us most times and we get fooled and fool in the pit.but its not normal behaviour. its a persons choice.you choose to be it and we learn it

Did not read all the crap you wrote, but to answer your question, yes it's normal. It's normal to be human, the Christians out there may not agree with me, but in the words of the Christ...let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.
