There are NO aligator in Southern California .... but you can get the alligator meat, and served as alligator steak .... in an Alligator Restaurant!

I have lived in So. Cal. for over 50 years, and I don't know any store that sells gator meat, but you can get it delivered from Louisiana if you go to: www.exoticmeats.com/store/index.php?cPath=24_26
I think it's around 14 -15 bucks a pound, plus shipping.
