are allowed to have? I asked an earlier question earlier regarding this same issue and one respondent wrote that I should just kill myself. Well, instead of that alternative I decided to get an education rather than breed and breed and breed and breed as some inconsiderate humans do. I am almost 35 and I have no children. My husband is 43 and we are now working on it. We only want to have enough to replace ourselves. I just think it is selfish to the highest degree to start pumping out the children when you are 15, and then blame everyone else for your financial woes. You know what - I don't feel sorry for you.

The maximum sustainable population is around 2,000,000,000 people (see the research by Prof David Pimentel and others), and the optimum will be substantially less than that, so yes, population is a problem.
Before we begin to force people to limit family sizes, lets make sure that contraception is freely available to all women.

The ever increasing over population has been a recognized problem for a long, long time. It's coming up with an effective way to deal with it that's the problem. It's a little like Prohibition and prostitution, people were and are perfectly willing to break the law to have what they want. How can a law limiting the number of babies a couple (and often times, only a mother) can have.
Don't misunderstand, I agree with you a hundred percent. It just seems that, despite all the promotion of safe sex, and the availability of contraceptives, so long as there are males and females, however young or unable to support themselves, there are going to be pregnancies and births.

I think it would be wise to slow the population growth; however I don't condemn people for having more than 2 children IF they can afford to feed, clothe, and educate them.
I DO condemn people on public assistance who breed like rats and expect everyone else to take the responsibility--financial and otherwise. Sterilization should be mandatory for Welfare Recipients.

I think those who have children at the age of 15 had them by accident. I seriously don't think it was because they wanted to start "pumping" away the kids, you know?
And I don't think there should be a limit. Yes there are a lot of people in the world. Our numbers grow exponentially but I think we've been able to handle ourselves the same way as we've handled ourselves for the last how many years that humans are being around. I'm guessing your position is based on world poverty, starvation and whatnots? I always thought that all these things were around no matter how many people were around. It's just human (or ANIMAL) nature really to to have a group of people unjustifiably repressed for a another group to flourish. It's a relly sad thought but that's the way it is.
Another thing is that some people have a huge number of children because their faith restricts them from birth control, they themselves don't believe in birth control, or they have no access to it.

your dumb you are just mad because you are almost 35 and have no kid's this is America and people have the right to choose if they want a bunch of kid's or if they want to go to school like you it is not up to us it is up to god how many children people have he gives life you idiot.Also some people work really hard and they will never be rich in fact most people who are out there working there a$$ off do not have allot of money so what ever but I feel sorry for you you are insecure.

now u say u r working on it, then why do u keep grousing? get all the checks done and go get ur baby 1 and 2 soon.
there are many reasons for breed breed breed communities.

How dumb you are.....
In countries like India, China etc. where almost nobody has money, which means nobody has TV, Internet and other luxuries to spend their time people have nothing else to do than sex.
So I've got a proposal for all of you.
Give all your money to them and you will see the big difference.

i agree and disagree. but you can't control what people chose to do when it comes to what they do with their bodies. i heard somewhere in china they control the amount of children people have because their population consists of billions of people. some do need to stop its starting to get real trifilng. some people do it because of the money they get for it instead of getting real jobs. they think the government is still going to support them. or just for the child support. if you don't want to get caught up in it learn to use pills and condoms people please.

I think people should only be able to have 3 kids max (even then it is still overpopulating, but not as many people would cry about it).
