They sold out, they're just like every other band.
I love Brain Stew, Basketcase, She, & Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life.)

OLD Green Day rocks!!! ah how I long for the days of Dookie! lol...that sounded funny, but it's soooooo true. Now those guys are a bunch of award show whores. They show up to every friggin' event to collect another trophy....yawn. A long time ago they seemed to mean the stuff they said and fought for, now they just seem like posers. It's sad. I love the GD that used to be non mainstream. Oh well, I still have all the old cds so I can hear the good stuff...too bad the group has now been replaced by aging zombies.

Both. I love Old GreenDay, I also love New Green Day. I know there is a difference, it's like they grew up and so did their music. When artists grow, it doesn't change how good they 'were' it only means they're moving on. Which is exactly what they should do, (otherwise, they fade away) Green Day Rocks!!!!

I'll be willing to be the only one thats different. I listened to old green day back in the day, but I didn't like them at all. When greenday started making music again I liked their new songs. I went back and listened to some of their old stuff again, and its pretty good, but I like the new stuff better. I just have a different taste in music than the average green day fan I guess.

Personally I like the Old Green Day myself. That reminds me of my high school friends. Those were some really good times!

Old Green Day is classic, but you gotta give them a chance to mature as they have. American Idiot is a fantastic CD. I like both old and new on their own merit. Every great band has gone thru changes and different levels. If they had stayed the same, you'd say it was lame.
